King said the victim, 66-year-old James Lynn of Winfield, Alabama, was driving a 2017 Toyota Camry that was struck by a 2020 Dodge Charger being driven by a Demopolis woman.

The vehicles collided five miles east of Demopolis, King said, in Hale County, and Lynn was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman driving the Charger, a 23-year-old from Demopolis, and her 3-year-old passenger were injured and taken to an area hospital. A 63-year-old woman who was riding in the Camry was also injured and hospitalized in Tuscaloosa.

No other details were available Monday afternoon, and King said Troopers continue to investigate the deadly accident.
