
Man Killed in Predawn West Tuscaloosa Shooting Saturday
Police are investigating a fatal shooting in west Tuscaloosa early Saturday morning, they have confirmed to the Thread.
Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said they are on the scene of a homicide near the intersection of Fosters Ferry Road and Herman Avenue.

Sellers said one male victim is dead as a result of a shooting, and the VCU will launch an investigation.
No other details were available on this breaking, developing situation when Sellers alerted local media to the homicide around 4 a.m. Saturday.
By the count of Thread staff, this is the fourth homicide the VCU has investigated so far in 2025, and all have been committed in Tuscaloosa city limits so far.
