Man Fatally Shot at Tuscaloosa’s Links Apartment Complex Overnight
Officers of the Tuscaloosa Police Department and investigators with the Violent Crimes Unit are on the scene of a fatal shooting at an apartment complex before dawn Sunday morning.
Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the VCU, alerted media to the killing at 3 a.m. Sunday.
He said the investigative unit and TPD were called to a shooting at 1800 Links Boulevard to the Links at Tuscaloosa Apartments and found one adult male dead.
Sellers said an investigation into the homicide in ongoing.
By the count of the Tuscaloosa Thread staff, this marks the eighth homicide the VCU has investigated so far in 2025.
