Tuscaloosa Mayor Makes Another Charity Wager, This Time for SEC Championship
Fresh off winning his sixth straight charitable Iron Bowl wager with the mayor of Auburn, Tuscaloosa's Walt Maddox is hoping to score another donation for local Pre-K after the SEC Championship this weekend.
As the Crimson Tide gears up to take on the Georgia Bulldogs in Atlanta and attempt the tall order of beating them twice in a season, Maddox has bet the Mayor of Athens-Clarke County that Alabama is up to the task.

Maddox confirmed the friendly wager on social media Friday and said if the Tide can beat the odds and take Georgia down again, Mayor Kelly Girtz will donate to the Tuscaloosa Pre-K Initiative.
Should the Dawgs prevail and avenge their September loss Saturday in Athens, Maddox has agreed to donate to the Marlise O. Harrell Georgia Commitment, a relatively new need-based scholarship for UGA students from within Athens-Clarke County
The Championship kicks off at 2 p.m. CST tomorrow at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
