Lights on Tuscaloosa’s Lurleen Wallace Boulevard Out After Wreck, Traffic Clogged for Hours
Traffic is a mess in downtown Tuscaloosa and will be for hours to come after a vehicle struck a power pole, knocking out the traffic lights in the area.
In a Thursday morning Facebook post, a spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police Department said all northbound and southbound traffic lights are out on Lurleen Wallace Boulevard.

"Traffic is backed up in both directions," TPD said in their post. "All northbound traffic is being rerouted off the 15th Street/Stillman Boulevard exit, or to 12th and 11th streets.
We expect this to last through the morning and maybe into the afternoon hours."
Avoid the area or be ready for traffic issues and detours, and stay connected to the Tuscaloosa Thread for updates as they become available.
