LIVE RESULTS From Tuscaloosa’s Elections for Mayor, City Council & School Board
Polls have closed in Tuesday's municipal elections in Tuscaloosa, which will determine a half dozen contested races for the mayor's office, four city council seats and one spot on the city school board.
With polls officially closed at 7 p.m., we're expecting results in soon from all seven city districts, and we'll share them here in real-time from each location.
For the mayor's office, the school board seat and City Council District 7, incumbents only have one challenger and a winner is sure to be declared Tuesday except in the extremely unlikely event of a tie.

In council Districts 1, 2 and 6, three candidates are running for the seat. In those races, a simple majority is not enough to win the seat today. If no candidate achieves a plurality of the votes - 50 percent plus one vote - it will trigger a runoff election tentatively set for April 1st.
Check back for updates as each polling place shares returns individually and, after the last results are in, for the calling of the mayoral race.
Editor's note: We'll have each district's results as they come in, first and free, here on the Tuscaloosa Thread. For ease of formatting, races will show "0 votes" until returns are posted and published. There are in-person ballots, absentee ballots, and a small number of provisional ballots to be counted for each race. These results are considered as accurate as possible but unofficial until provisional ballots are worked out and the results are certified by the city council next Tuesday.
