Polls Close in Northport! LIVE Mayor & Council Election Results from City Hall
Polls have closed in Northport's municipal elections for the mayor's office and four contested seats on the city council.
With the controversial campaign season over at last, all that's left to do is count the ballots and see who will oversee the city for the next four years.
Election results are being shared live at the Northport Civic Center and will then be distributed en masse after the figures have been received from all five voting districts. We'll have those results here as soon as they're shared at City Hall, with winner interviews as soon as possible.

Runoffs are possible in the mayor's race and the battle for the District 2 council seat, as there are more than two candidates in those races. To secure victory on Monday, runners in those contests must earn a plurality - 50 percent of the vote plus one; a mere majority of the votes will not be enough.
