Lee "Red" Scott, Jr., age 96, died on December 28, 2024, peacefully at home.

Services will be held on January 13, 2025, at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church in Tuscaloosa with Rev. Ken Dunivant officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45 am in the sanctuary.

Lee was preceded in death by his wife, June Friday Scott, daughter, Vanda Lee Scott, parents, Lee and Vannie Scott and brother, Leon Scott. Survivors include daughter, Ann Scott Marinello (husband Steve), grandchildren, Nicholas and Elena, son-in-law, Ken Simpson and sister, Edna Sanders.

Lee grew up in Tuscaloosa County, he was a medic in the U.S. Navy and worked at the A&P Grocery and Friday Lumber Company until his retirement. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and the Lee Sunday School Class. For many years, he enjoyed camping with the Airstream Club, where he was the Holy Board Champion. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and served as a Deputy Game Warden for 30+ years. He also enjoyed gardening vegetables and growing and sharing blueberries. Red had a great sense of humor and was a loving husband, father, PawPaw and friend.

The family would like to thank the support of Amedisys Home Health and Hospice of West Alabama. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity or the Lee Class Bible Conference at First United Methodist Church, Tuscaloosa.

Cremation arrangements were made by Magnolia Chapel South.
