The last edition of the College Football Playoff poll prior to the teams being selected for this year's playoff was revealed tonight and the Alabama Crimson Tide remained at No. 1. The biggest movement of playoff contenders came from the University of Florida, the Gators fell only one spot after its loss to unranked LSU.

The Alabama Crimson Tide will play the Florida Gators in Atlanta this weekend for the SEC Championship. The Crimson Tide has been dominant this season, running the table and scoring 50 points or more in half of its games. Alabama is likely in the make it into the playoff regardless of the result this weekend however a win would secure the No. 1 seed.

Notre Dame and Clemson continue to be ranked at No. 2 and No. 3 and the two sides will face off with one another in a rematch for the ACC Championship. Notre Dame defeated Clemson 47-40 in South Bend on Nov. 7 but the Tigers did not have its star quarterback Trevor Lawrence in the contest.

Ohio State remains ranked No. 4 despite outcry over the Buckeyes not playing the same amount of games as other contenders. The Buckeyes will play No. 14 Northwestern for the Big 10 Championship in Indianapolis.
