Juanita "Nita" Walton Windham, 97 of Moundville, was Born September 24, 1927, and passed away February 2, 2025, at Moundville Health and Rehab.
Services will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 11:00 am at Magnolia Chapel South with Bro. Robert Crawford officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
She is preceded in death by her Father, Claude Lou Walton, Mother, Eunice Catlett Walton-Wyatt, Stepfather Henry Wyatt, Brother Claude “Buddy” Walton, Sisters Edith Walton Carter and Ruby Virginia Walton Wright, Husband William Clifton Windham, and Daughter Elizabeth Windham Crawford.
She is survived by her son William Claude Windham (Teresa), son-in-law, David Richard Crawford, Grandchildren Dana Crawford Bernardo (Gabe Muniz), William Clay Windham (Morgan), Sara Elizabeth “Libby” Crawford Richardson (Ryan), Clint Howell Windham. Great Grandchildren Julianna Windham, Sara Louise Richardson, Evie Windham, and Clifton Richardson.
Nita was retired from the Tuscaloosa County Commissioner's Office.
Pallbearers are Clay Windham, Clint Windham, John Windham, Kevin Windham, Scott Windham, Keith Duncan, Gary Stone, and Tommy Walton.
Honorary Pallbearers are Drs John and George Miller, Employees of Moundville Nursing Home, John Thomas and family, and Donnie and Karen Wedgeworth.
