Joel Patrick Kelley (March 25th, 1973 – August 19th, 2026)

Joel Patrick Kelley, 53, of Moundville, passed away on August 19, 2026, at home.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville with Bro. Jeff Lollar officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing.

He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph "Eddie" Kelley; grandparents Rufus and Clevie C. Kelley and Henry and Gene Boothe; cousin Randy Kelley; uncles Rufus "Bubba" Kelley and Derrick Boothe; aunts Donna Boothe and Carolyn Skelton; and cousin Kisha Johnson.

Joel is survived by his mother, Rachele Ann Kelley; the mother of his children, Bridget Kelley; daughter Kayla Gallegos (John); sons Joshua Taylor (Samantha), Kolby Boswell and Dalton Kelley (Danielle); sister Jessica Anderson (Mitchell); and grandchildren Aydin Taylor, McKaylynn and Rowan Gallegos, and Dean and Dahlia Kelley.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Taylor, Dalton Kelley, John Gallegos, Heath Anderson, Aydin Taylor and Colton French.

Honorary pallbearers will be Darrin Prewitt, Henry Beverly, Dwin Walker, Gary Bates, Doug Tingle, Gina Perry, nurses and staff of Enhabit Hospice, The Manderson Cancer Center, UAB West, County Line Grocery, Five Points and Big Sandy employees, and many more loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center.
