Jerry Oglesby (March 9th, 1956 – March 5th, 2024)

Jerry Oglesby age 67 of Brent, passed away March 5, 2024 at home.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Pondville Methodist Church at 11:00 am with Bro. David Grisham officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church one hour before the service.

He is preceded in death by his father; Jacob Oglesby, mother; Stella Oglesby, and brother; Gene Oglesby.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years Juli Oglesby, children; Joni Oglesby, Casey Oglesby (Elizabeth) of Chelsa, Alabama, and Dylan Oglesby of Brent, Alabama, brothers; Bennie Oglesby of Marion, Alabama, Bobby Oglesby (Charlotte) of Marion, Alabama, Paul Oglesby (Donnita) of Greensboro, Alabama, sister; Sue Hodgens of Centerville, Tennessee, sister-in-laws; Debbie Graham (Wayne) of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, Lisa Weeks (Craig) of Prattville, Alabama, and Becky Irvin (Michael) of Vernon, Alabama.

Jerry and Juli were married for 33 years. He was a logger for over 45 years. He loved to watch Alabama Football and The Wheel of Fortune. Jerry loved hunting, gardening, fishing, and logging and had a love for his family and fur babies along with his motorcycle, tractor and animals.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society.
