James Douglas Milligan (February 13th, 1947 – May 6th, 2026)

James Douglas Milligan, age 79, of Berry, Ala., passed away May 6, 2026, at his residence.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2026, at Sulphur Springs Cemetery with Bro. Terry Joe Oswalt officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Milligan; parents, Archie G. and Etta Mae Milligan; brothers, Herbert Milligan and Alton Milligan; and grandson, George “Peewee” Walters.

Survivors include his daughter, Belinda Walters; sons, David Burt (Sundie), Randall Burt, and Bobby Burt; sisters, Donnie Mae Cole, Carolyn Hartley (Lawrence), and Glenda Scrivner; and brothers, Harold Milligan and Frankie Milligan; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jarrod Milligan, Archie Milligan, Alan Milligan, Mathew Hartley, Brantley Pearson, and Tyler Blackmon.

Honorary pallbearer: Heath Scrivner.
