Pre-registration for the state's Early Childhood Education program is officially open. The Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education announced on social media.

Each site will conduct a random selection drawing process in March, this ensures that eligibility isn't based on a first come first serve basis.

Alabama's First Class Pre-K program ranks pretty high in comparison to others in the nation.

According to the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Development, their program has been awarded the highest quality rating by the National Institute for Early Education Research for 17 consecutive years.
