Tyner’s Brother Identified as Pedestrian Fatally Struck Tuesday
Earlier this morning, a pedestrian was fatally struck in Tuscaloosa’s Alberta City. In an emotional Facebook Post, Kip Tyner said that his younger brother Bo was “struck and killed by a vehicle while attempting to cross University Boulevard.”
The post said they “are just devastated by the tragic loss” and that “words can’t express how much we appreciate the outpouring of love shown through your calls and texts.”
"Tuscaloosa Police were called to the intersection of University Boulevard East and Juanita Drive at 5:33 a.m. Tuesday after a pedestrian was struck by a car," said Stephanie Taylor, a TPD spokeswoman.
As reported earlier by the Tuscaloosa Thread, the “driver remained on scene and cooperated with police as they investigated the collision.”
Tyner reflected that he was grateful that he could spend time with him and his mother last night.
This is a developing story; we will provide updates as they become available.
