Two Tuscaloosa Events Aim to Connect Residents with Voting Resources
Alabamians will have two opportunities this fall to get informed, register, and connect with voting-rights resources. The Tuscaloosa (AL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. will host two voter engagement events focused on voter restoration and voter registration.

The events are scheduled for Sunday, September 27, and Sunday, October 11, at Catch-A-Taste, 2816 University Blvd., Tuscaloosa, AL 35404. Community members are invited to stop by, ask questions, and get help navigating the voter registration and restoration process.
“Giving back to our community is a responsibility we take seriously. We believe that serving our community means helping connect people with resources that can make a difference in their lives,” said Darius Gamble, Chair of Community Outreach, Tuscaloosa (AL) Alumni Chapter.
As part of its ongoing community outreach, the chapter is promoting civic engagement and providing residents with information and assistance on voter registration and voting rights.
Voter registration matters because it ensures eligible residents are prepared to cast their ballots and have a voice in elections that shape decisions affecting their families, neighborhoods, and communities.
What Will Take Place at the Events
- Registering to vote
- Restoring voting rights
- Understanding the pardon process
- Eligible residents are encouraged to take advantage of these resources to better understand the voting process and their civic rights.
Gamble reminds residents, “Being a registered voter and exercising that right is an important part of civic participation, and we want to help ensure that our community has access to information and assistance that can help them take part in the process.”
