Each holiday season, more than 200 live Christmas trees and festive displays transform Government Plaza in downtown Tuscaloosa into a sparkling winter destination. From Thanksgiving to New Year’s, your sponsored tree or display is visible in the heart of the city for six weeks. This makes for a unique opportunity to showcase your business or organization while joining one of Tuscaloosa’s most cherished holiday traditions.

“Proceeds fund parent education classes, workforce development courses, food pantries, youth mentorship, the Family First Boutique and other resources for families,” said the press release.

Be Part of an Award-Winning Holiday Tradition

Since its debut in 2013, Tuscaloosa’s One Place Tinsel Trail has grown into one of the nation’s premier holiday attractions. In 2025, it was voted the fourth-best public holiday lights display in the USA Today Reader’s Choice Awards. You can become part of this award-winning tradition by sponsoring a Christmas tree or festive display along the trail.
