What Defines a White Christmas?
According to the NOAA's National Climatic Data Center, a "white Christmas" refers to the presence of at least 1 inch of snow on the ground on Christmas morning."
Suppose you want to see that winter wonderland this year for that picture-perfect snowy moment on Christmas morning often seen in the movies. The “chances of a White Christmas across the U. S. this year are far and few between,” said The Weather Channel.

From a meteorological standpoint, there is still plenty of time for the forecast to change as weather conditions are ever-changing. However, the mild weather across much of the United States has impacted snow chances as some areas will experience 20 degrees above average temperatures.
Possibility of Snow
The potential for snow this holiday could be “through the northern plains, the Rockies, parts of the upper Midwest, the eastern Great Lakes, and the Appalachians,” said The Weather Channel.
