Kentuck Festival Draws Artists From Around The World To Tuscaloosa

The Kentuck Festival is something that we are proud to have in Tuscaloosa and West Alabama each year. It has literally become a festival known around the world, as many features in major publications have shown. This might be a series of things that you didn’t know about Kentuck, as a whole. I found them interesting, and I hope you do too.

Did you know that Kentuck receives so many applications from artists around the country that more artists are rejected each year than accepted at the festival? Did you know that Kentuck is a year-round festival- we’re talking 365 days of things to do and things happening right here in West Alabama? They feature renowned art classes, from clay to stained glass and more.

Spoken word is also a bigger part of the Kentuck Festival than most folks would believe. In fact, this year the Kentuck Festival planners tell us about one of their featured artists who can captivate an entire room in mere minutes with his storytelling and charisma. He is part of the faculty at the University of Alabama, and the festival organizers are proud to have him on the lineup this year.

Of course, the festival is getting closer and closer; this year, it will be held on October 17th and 18th at Snow Hinton Park, Tuscaloosa. They have added some additional VIP opportunities, and the VIP experience at Kentuck is second to none. Southern Ale House hosts it and features amazing breakfast and lunch spreads. It is the best way, according to many, to experience our local Kentuck Festival.
