The Minnesota Vikings have placed former Alabama place kicker Will Reichard on the injured reserve with a quad injury, sidelining the special teamer for at least four weeks.

Reichard had been perfect through the beginning of the season, making all 34 of his kicks leading up to Sunday. However, the Alabama alumnus missed two kicks in the Vikings's 21-13 win over the Colts, a 53-yarder and a 31-yarder.

Reichard started feeling quad-tightness midway through the Vikings' matchup against the Colts but topped it out to finish the game.

The Vikings will add XFL kicker John Parker Romo to their roster to take over for Reichard. Romo was named to the All-XFL team in 2023 and will make his NFL debut at 27 years old.
