Young is rated as the number four running back prospect in the nation. Standing at 5'11" and weighing in at 200 pounds, he's a speedster who has the capability of making one cut and disappearing.

In high school, he amassed 4,693 yards on 571 attempts and found pay dirt 42 times while also catching eight passes for 121 yards.

Young was primarily recruited by Robert Gillespie and secondarily by Bill O'Brien. Young was also recruited by fellow 2023 commit and number three ranked running back prospect Justice Haynes. After Haynes committed to Alabama, he posted unsocial media that his goal was to get Young to commit and create a two-headed monster in the backfield.

Young originally committed on July 29 this year.
