Last time Alabama went to Oklahoma, the Tide's offense put up its worst showing of the 2024 season, scoring just three points on a Graham Nicholson field goal (kicked in the first quarter), and had just 234 total yards of offense. Alabama's top two threats on offense, Germie Bernard and Ryan Williams, were targeted 15 times by quarterback Jalen Milroe. Williams and Bernard combined for six receptions for 97 yards.

On Tuesday, Alabama wide receiver Germie Bernard mentioned a quirk about Oklahoma's stadium, which affected the Tide's receivers trying to catch passes from Jalen Milroe.

"Their lights - it kind of got me last time that we played," wide receiver Germie Bernard said. "The lights were kind of - I don't know - in a weird position, you could say."

Both Bernard and Williams lost passes in the lights, which are positioned in the corners of the endzone. The Tide dropped five passes in Norman, Oklahoma.

"It's hard to prepare for that," Bernard responded. "But we're receivers. We know we're gonna experience that at some point in our career, so we just have to be able to adjust."

Alabama players also mentioned what they remember about Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium from last season. Zabien Brown said the field was hard, and Bernard also mentioned it.

"Just the field condition," he said. "I think our equipment staff has done a great job at putting us in the right equipment and whatnot, so we won't have that issue.

"We know it's gonna be cold."

Alabama will face Oklahoma in the first round of the College Football Playoff on Friday, December 19, at 7:00 p.m.
