Alabama Football Officially Announces Hire of Offensive Line Coach Adrian Klemm

On Wednesday, Alabama made the hiring of new offensive line coach Adrian Klemm official, with an official announcement on social media and a press release.

"Adrian Klemm has a reputation for recruiting and developing players at every level, having worked with some of the top offensive lines in his 15-plus years coaching,” Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer said in a statement. “He has a deep knowledge and passion for the game, and I know that he will be able to have an immediate impact on our program. We look forward to having him on staff.”

Klemm is the second coaching hire Alabama has made this offseason after Alabama replaced wide receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard with former Auburn offensive coordinator Derrick Nix. Alabama has now hired Klemm after DeBoer fired the previous offensive line coach, Chris Kapilovic, after two seasons with Alabama.

Alabama co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Nick Sheridan left to be the offensive coordinator at Michigan State, but Alabama filled that vacancy by moving tight ends coach Bryan Ellis to coaching quarterbacks, a position he coached during his time as Georgia Southern's offensive coordinator. Alabama has yet to fill the vacancy at tight ends coach.

Klemm brings experience to Alabama from across the country, playing as an offensive lineman for the New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers from 2000 to 2005. As a coach, he spent time as the offensive line coach with SMU (2009-2011), UCLA (2012-2016), the Pittsburgh Steelers (2021), Oregon (2022), and the New England Patriots (2023). He was most recently an offensive analyst for the USC Trojans in 2025.
