No. 1 Alabama is approaching its seventh appearance in the College Football Playoff in the last eight seasons as they prepare to take on the No. 4 Cincinnati Bearcats in the 86th annual Cotton Bowl Classic at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.

With Alabama's bowl record at 44-26-3, the Tide in the postseason has been known to make some of the more famous sites in college football look like home game environments. There's a reason why the fight song goes: "remember the Rose Bowl, we'll win then." It's because Alabama is 6-1 in "The Granddaddy of Them All."

More recently, Alabama has dominated venues like Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which opened in August of 2017 and featured the Tide in their opening game of the season against No. 3 Florida State.

Since that 24-7 victory, the Crimson Tide has continued on to six consecutive wins in the same building, including three conference titles and the 2017 CFP National Championship. Considering Alabama has done more winning in that stadium than the Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs combined, it's a running joke among Bama fans to call Mercedes-Benz Stadium, "Bryant-Denny East."

However, the venue in which Alabama will play the Cotton Bowl on Saturday is another contender for another "home away from home" in the program's storied history. Arlington, TX's AT&T Stadium, owned by Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys, has been the sight of five consecutive Crimson Tide wins since its opening in May of 2009.

Jokingly known as "Jerry World," AT&T Stadium saw the 2015 Cotton Bowl CFP semi-final game in which No. 2 Alabama dismantled No. 3 Michigan, 38-0, en route to its 17th national title.

The 2020 Rose Bowl game, a CFP semi-final, had to be moved to Arlington due to the COVID-19-impacted season and a spike in cases in California at the time. This change resulted in Alabama's sixth Rose Bowl victory and a game away from finishing the program's 18th national title with a 12-0 season.

AT&T Stadium has been kind to current and even former Alabama players as young Dallas Cowboys standout cornerback Trevon Diggs leads the NFL in interceptions with 11 in 2021. In fitting fashion, Diggs' first appearance with the Crimson Tide came in Jerry World as he received time on special teams and defense in the 2016 season-opening rout of the USC Trojans, 52-6.

The Crimson Tide's all-time record in the Cotton Bowl Classic is 4-4 and it hasn't lost the bowl game since falling to No. 6 Texas in Dallas' Cotton Bowl Stadium, 14-12, in 1982.

Alabama fans can watch the semi-final matchup with Cincinnati on ESPN starting at 2:30 p.m. CST. For live updates on the ground in Arlington, TX, make sure to follow Tide 100.9 (@tide1009) and reporter/brand manager Joe Gaither (@JoeGaither6) on Twitter.
