Alabama Football has once again worked its recruiting magic in the state of Texas.

After recently stealing the Brockermeyer twins away from Texas and coach Tom Herman, the Tide just landed QB, Jalen Milroe. Milroe had been committed to Texas since July 2019.

The 6-foot-1, 190 pound quarterback is a four-star prospect out of Tompkins High School in Katy, Texas. 247Sports Composite ranks him the No. 4 dual-threat QB in the country.

While at Tompkins, he threw for 2,689-yards with 29 touchdowns and rushed for 300-yards with seven more touchdowns.

This isn't the first time the Tide have secured a big time Texas dual-threat QB.  In 2015 they landed Channelview, Texas QB, Jalen Hurts.

It appears that sharing the same first name isn't the only thing these two have in common, only 43.8 miles and a 0.041 recruiting points separate these Texas gunslingers.

If Milroe can come anywhere close to providing the spark that Hurts provided, then this team should be excited.

With Mac Jones set to be the starter for this season and a talented Bryce Young serving as backup, Milroe will likely have to wait a few years before he gets the chance to start.

Sealing the deal on another recruit, has also drastically impacted the teams overall recruitment ranking for the 2021 class.

Not much seperates Ohio State and Alabama for the #1 overall spot.

Speaking of Ohio State, another 2021 target, Tumise Adeleye who recently decommited from Ohio State, appears to also be interested in joining this legendary recruitment juggernaut.
