PHOTOS: Meet the Woman "Grinching Around T-Town" in Tuscaloosa

One Tuscaloosa woman is spreading Christmas cheer in a particularly unique way: by dressing up in a full-body Grinch costume and popping up all around town.

Meet the woman behind the green fur - Phantasa Rose is a realtor with RE/MAX Premiere Group and an Ambassador with the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce.

Rose explained that she and her mother, Penny Breeding, work together as realtors. The idea for "Grinching around" started with the story of the Grinch coming to Tuscaloosa to buy a gameday house, and the mother/daughter pair would be his realtors.

They started off by taking the costume around Tuscaloosa and showing him different properties, and "showing him everything our wonderful city has to offer." Since then, she's been expanding her reach, taking the Grinch around to businesses around town - visiting The Juice Bar, Bed Bath & Beyond, Regions Bank and even a past client's house to see their kids.

"I just thought this was an excellent opportunity to spread a little Christmas cheer in our community and a chance to promote local businesses as well as my real estate business," Rose said.

Rose was very busy spending her Wednesday appearing at the Tuscaloosa Chamber of Commerce, Hot Diggity Dog, James Anthony AllState Insurance, Heritage House and the Hotel Capstone Jingle Bar.

On Thursday, Rose is scheduled to visit the Northport Fire Department. She said that she's gotten several messages and requests to have the Grinch make a visit and so she's planning to visit Tinsel Trail this Saturday, December 18 from 5-8 PM.

She said she's sure she'll make a few more stops around town in the meantime.
