A 44-year-old West Alabama man was killed Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle accident in Greene County, State Troopers have confirmed.

Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency in the Tuscaloosa area, said the wreck took place near the town of Union at around 9:15 Tuesday morning.

King said the victim, Alphinex L. Clark, was driving a 2007 Dodge Charger on Greene County Road 60 when he rear-ended a 2022 International brand tractor trailer that was reportedly stopped and partially in the road at the time of the collision.

King said Clark was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which took place about four miles north of Union.

The victim, Clark, lived in Aliceville in neighboring Pickens County.

No further details were available Tuesday night as State Troopers with ALEA's Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the deadly accident.
