Friday Wreck Mangles FedEx Truck I-20 Outside Tuscaloosa, Spilling Packages and Snarling Traffic

A FedEx truck was badly damaged in a Friday morning interstate wreck that left packages strewn across westbound lanes in Tuscaloosa County and significantly slowed traffic.

Passersby reported the truck was mangled around Mile Marker 89 near the Mercedes Benz U.S. International plant.

The wreck and clean-up efforts have closed the left shoulder and two leftmost through lanes on the interstate.

The accident reportedly occurred before dawn and has been creating traffic problems on the interstate all Friday morning.

State Troopers have not yet said if anyone was hurt in the accident.
