Fresenius Kidney Care Opens Second Facility in Tuscaloosa
Fresenius Kidney Care Foothills Dialysis celebrated the opening of its newest dialysis center in Tuscaloosa with an open house for the public Wednesday afternoon.
According to a release from Fresenius Kidney Care, the office will have the capacity to treat up to 48 patients in the Tuscaloosa office. Patients, physicians and other community members were invited to tour the facility during the open house.
Local medical professionals were available to discuss various topics with attendees, including patient services and dialysis treatment options, medication management from FreseniusRx renal-trained pharmacists and ways to begin the search for a transplant.
The office is located at 914 Dr. Edward Hillard Drive, near DCH Regional Medical Center. The office is the second of its kind in the area, joining the already existing office in Northport.
Fresenius Kidney Care is the dialysis division of Fresenius Medical Care North American and considers itself the nation’s leading network of dialysis facilities in the country, according to the release.
