Justice Haynes, the son of former Georgia Bulldog running back Veron Haynes just announced today that he is committing to The University of Alabama.

According to 247 sports, Haynes is a 4-star running back and the third-best player from the state of Georgia in the class of 2023. This comes as a shock to most Georgia fans because his hometown of Buford, GA., is only an hour away from Athens which is the home of the Georgia Bulldogs.

Last year for the Buford Wolves, Haynes rushed for 2,375 yards on 275 carries. With an average of 200 yards a game, the Georgia native helped the Wolves win a state championship and a record of 14-1.

Before announcing his commitment today every recruiting site and analyst had Haynes going to Georgia just like his father. Also with the recent success of running backs like Todd Gurley, Nick Chubb, and Deandre Swift, Haynes was supposed to be next in line for the Bulldogs.

"It is a place I fit in, a place I will get developed on and off the field, and the place I know will hold me accountable at the end of the day. The total package of what Alabama is about made it the best place for me" Haynes said to Chad Simmons of On3 recruiting.

As well as announcing his commitment on Sunday, Haynes also stated that he is now trying to recruit Richard Young to Alabama. Young is a 5-star running back from Lehigh Acres, FL who also has the Crimson Tide high on his list.
