
Rider Dies After Falling Off Motorcycle in West Tuscaloosa Saturday
A man was killed after he fell off his motorcycle while riding in west Tuscaloosa Saturday evening, police said.
Stephanie Taylor, a spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said a rider was traveling west on 20th Street coming from Dinah Washington Avenue when he seems to have lost control and fallen from the motorcycle, investigators said.

Taylor said that after the rider fell from the motorcycle, his momentum carried him forward and he struck then came to a rest underneath a unoccupied tow truck parked nearby.
The motorcycle also kept moving and crashed into an unoccupied parked car.
Taylor said paramedics responded, but the victim's injuries were severe and he died at the scene. The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
TPD’s Traffic Homicide Unit, which investigates all fatal crashes within city limits, will look into the circumstances of the accident.
UPDATE: TPD has identified the victim in this case as Marvin Otis Wilkins Jr., 41, of Tuscaloosa.
