BREAKING: VCU on Scene of Double Homicide in Tuscaloosa County City of Brookwood
Two people have been found dead in the Brookwood community in what authorities are investigating as a double homicide Monday afternoon, according to the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit.
The victims were discovered in the 12900 block of Alabama Junction Road. VCU Commander Captain Jack Kennedy said the VCU and Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office are assisting Brookwood Police in the investigation.
Kennedy's release to the media Monday evening specifically describes the deaths as apparent foul play.
Kennedy said no additional information will be released at this time to avoid hampering the investigation and that further details will be made available as they can be.
