A longtime financial executive in the health care industry will join the leadership staff of the DCH Health System as its new Vice President of Finance.

 

The West Alabama hospital system announced the hire of David Herman in a Monday press release.

DCH stated that Herman has over 30 years of experience in the field, with specializations in financial strategy, revenue cycle operations, and performance improvement.

In their announcement, DCH said Herman earned his MBA in Finance with Distinction from DePaul University and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Illinois State
University. In addition, Herman is a CPA and an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

"Herman's expertise in healthcare finance and proven leadership in revenue cycle
and financial strategy will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen the financial foundation of our health system," DCH's announcement read.

Herman will begin his new role on Monday, October 13, according to the announcement.
