David Ralph Barrett (January 10th, 1954 – February 10th, 2022)

David Ralph Barrett of Tuscaloosa has joined his Heavenly Father on February 10, 2022, at 68 years old.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Ralph & Ellen Barrett; his paternal grandparents; his maternal grandparents, Lee Griffin & Evie Griffin Sledge; and his younger brother, Bruce Edward Barrett. David is survived by his niece, Jennifer Thomas and her husband Matthew Lambert, as well as his cousins.

David grew up in Alabama and served in the United States Air Force. After serving his country, he lived a quiet and peaceful life. He delighted others with his sense of humor and his stories.

The family would like to thank the Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center for their dedication in caring for David with honor and dignity. The family would also like to thank Magnolia Chapel South Funeral Home of Tuscaloosa. David's ashes will be spread alongside his brother's at a memorial tree near his niece's home at a private ceremony.
