Curtis Lee Wyatt, Sr., age 89, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 12, 2023, at Oak Hill Cemetery, in Moundville with Bro. Darryl Harbin officiating. Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South is directing.

Curtis was born on October 15th, 1933, and raised in Akron, Alabama. Curtis was a local Paint Contractor for over 40 years serving West Alabama and the surrounding communities. Hunting and fishing with his grandsons were his favorite pastimes.

He is now resting in peace with his parents, Wesley and Myrtle Wyatt; brother, Raymond Wyatt; daughter, Gail Molto; daughter-in-law, Lynn Wyatt; son-in-law, Everett Hobby; and grandson, Matthew Hobby.

Curtis will be lovingly remembered by his surviving children, Buddy Wyatt (Kim) and Deidra Hobby. Curtis will also be fondly remembered and missed by his six grandchildren, Wesley (Nicole), Bradley (Amy), Jeremy (Ashley), Brittany, Ashley, Taylor and five great-grandchildren, Gavin, Lane, Sophie, Landen, and Waylon. Curtis will also be remembered by his brother, Benjamin Wyatt of Tuscaloosa and many dear friends.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Wyatt, Bradley Wyatt, Jeremy Wyatt, Dustin Anderson, Chris Sullivan and Larry Holifield.

Honorary pallbearers are Tere Gray, Bill Bostic, George Harbin, George Lovelace, Brad Lovelace, Robbie Anderson, Don Terry, William Wyatt, Butch Smalley, Mike Harbin, Beverly Spencer, Jeff Engelbert, Doug Hallahand, Mike Burns, Henry Ray, and Tommy Hewitt, Cabinets Paint, Glidden Paint, and the Paint Spot employees.

On behalf of the family, a special thank you to the staff of Moundville Nursing Home, and also to Hospice of West Alabama for the kindness and loving care to our father. Our family also extends gratitude beyond measure to his neighbor Brenda Burkes who gave so much of her time, support, and friendship to our dad.
