Northport Welcomes Crimson Care Network’s New Clinic
A West Alabama medical network continues to grow and officially opened its new clinic in Northport this week.
The Crimson Care Network includes primary and urgent care clinics, the Crimson Village senior living community, FirstKids Urgent Care and FirstPT Physical Therapy, Tuscaloosa MedSpa, a men's clinic, the Tuscaloosa Weight Loss Center and more.
As the Thread previously reported, the Allegra Family Clinic on Mitt Lary Road joined the Crimson Care Network in 2023, and this week, Medical Director Sasank Peramsetty officially converted the space to a Crimson Care facility. The move finalizes a transition begun by his father, Ramesh Peramsetty, who died last year.

The clinic is now accepting primary care patients and walk-ins needing urgent care. It will also house a First Kids Urgent Care for children, another hallmark brand of the Crimson Care Network.
“This expansion continues the vision that my father, Dr. Ramesh Peramsetty, established — improving access and delivering exceptional healthcare for Tuscaloosa and the surrounding areas," Sasank Peramsetty said in a press release. "I’m proud to help build upon that foundation as we grow and serve even more patients."
The new clinic is open now at 1116 Mitt Lary Road, next to the Publix Super Market at Bristol Park.
"With same-day access, walk-in availability, and a patient-centered approach, Crimson Care is designed to meet the needs of busy families — all conveniently located close to home," the Network said in a Friday press release.
