Firefighters extinguished a blaze at an apartment complex in West Tuscaloosa Thursday morning, but details about its impact are still limited.

Holly Whigham, a spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue Service, said the department responded to calls about a fire inside Creekwood Village Apartments on 40th Avenue just west of Stillman College.

Whigham said eight TFR units responded to the fire, which was extinguished shortly before 10 a.m.

No one was hurt in the Thursday morning fire, Whigham said.

She was not able to immediately say if any units inside were damaged badly enough to displace residents who live in the complex.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
