New Cocktail Lounge Opening in Downtown Tuscaloosa
A new cocktail lounge, Brown's Corner, is opening this month in Tuscaloosa.
Located on 2325 University Boulevard, the bar-restaurant combo will be housed in the upstairs space of the Half Shell Oyster House.
The Brown's Corner website describes the business as a "speakeasy inspired lounge" that "embraces classic and traditional drinking."
The cocktail and whiskey bar will have its grand opening on August 17.
When open, Brown's Corner will have the following hours:
- Wednesday-Thursday: 4-10 p.m.
- Friday-Saturday: 4-11 p.m.
- Sunday: 4-9 p.m.
Housed in the original Brown's corner store, the bar will pay homage to "modern Southern dining" options.
Entrees will include sliced prime rib, tuna poke tacos, and a burger containing boar, bison, elk and wagyu beef.
Brown's Corner posted on their Facebook page recently their Lamb Lollipops dish:
The post described them as "Marinated and Chargrilled New Zealand Lamb Chops served with Greek Pesto and Goat Cheese Sour Cream."
The drink menu will feature a variety of old fashioned's, craft cocktails, and martinis.
Brown's Corner also noted that they were looking to hire "Servers, Bartenders, and Cooks." Those seeking employment can visit the Brown's Corner website and click on "Careers."
