Clara Mae Smith (October 6th, 1938

Clara Mae Smith, age 84 of Northport, went home in the arms of the Lord on March 10, 2023 at home.

Services will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church at 3:00 pm with Rev. Terrell Jones officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.

She is preceded in death by her husband Hildred "Hill" Smith, parents, Nathan “Man” Watson and Annie Lou Watson; brothers, Dick Watson and Harmon Watson; sisters Eunice Keith and Pauline Walker; and grandson, Adam Smith.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Smith, Susan Watkins (Barry), and Sundie Burt (David); son, Danny Smith (Darlene); grandchildren, Jared Smith (Megan), Shannon Smith (Angel), Cody Bagwell (Courtney), Amanda Watkins (Mitchell), Jamie Pearson (Brantley), Tamara Blackmon (Carey) and Amber Walker; great-grandchildren, Roman, Logan, Rylan, Tori (Nathan), Aaron (Faith), Maddie, Lincoln, Bryck, Cameryn, Ezriah, Hannah, and Tyler; and great-great-grandchildren, Karlee, Brynlee, and Roslyn "Biscuit”.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was devoted and loved her family. Clara was retired from DCH after 24 years of service. She loved gardening and spending time with her family, they were her entire life.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Taylor, Ben Smith, Eddie Fields, Terry Guin, Joel Medders and Jeff Blake.
