At least one bullet struck a vehicle in that area, just south of the terminus of Skyland Boulevard, and a 7-year-old girl who was in the back seat was injured.

Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told the Thread that the child was hit by glass, not directly by the bullet, and has been treated and released.

An investigation into the shooting is still ongoing, Sellers said. For updates on the story as they are made available, stay connected to the Tuscaloosa Thread.
