Charlsey “Tot” Smelley Tubbs (November 21st, 1943 – July 12th, 2022)

Charlsey “Tot” Smelley Tubbs, age 78, of Greensboro, Alabama, passed away on July 12th, 2022 in Demopolis, Alabama.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022, at New Hope Baptist Church in Moundville, Ala., with Bro. Kerry Mitchell officiating. Visitation will follow services at the church. A private burial will be held in New Hope Cemetery, at a later date. Magnolia Chapel South will be directing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Tubbs; brother, Curtis Smelley; and parents, Stephen and Lillian Smelley.

Survivors include her sons, Terry (Donna), Charlie (Beverly), Allen (Sheryl), and Randall (Libba); brother, Ludie L. Smelley; grandchildren, Charly Tubbs, Eric Tubbs (Lisa), Amanda Brown (Kenon), Heather Fuller (Zach), Jonathan Tubbs (Ashley), Alise Parker (Zack), Austin Tubbs (Krystal), Clint Overton (Victoria), and Kaci Herron (Jonathan); 19 great-grandchildren, loving and devoted friends, Tommy and Jonica Madison, and Searcy and Mary Ellen Averett; nieces and nephews, Steve and Debbie Smelley, and Luanne and Chris Bowman.

Honorary pallbearers are Patrick Howard, Bubba Ramey, Doug Hoggle, Brian and Patti Thomas, Judy Dillard, and Robert Hartley.
