Sheriff's deputies in Tuscaloosa County are on the scene of a shooting in Holt where an occupied home and some vehicles were struck by gunfire, but fortunately,y no one was injured.

Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said their investigators joined deputies at the scene of a shooting on 16th Street Northeast in the Holt community.

Kennedy said multiple vehicles and an occupied residence were struck by bullets but no one was injured in the shooting.

The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office and the VCU sent a number of deputies and investigators to the area Thursday morning to secure the scene and begin an investigation.
