Horn-Heavy Rock Band CAKE to Play April Concert in Tuscaloosa
Break out your short skirts and long jackets, because the horn-heavy rock band known as CAKE is planning a spring show in Tuscaloosa.
The concert was announced on Tuesday by the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater, which will host the rockers famous for tracks including Short Skirt / Long Jacket, the Distance and Love You Madly.
CAKE will perform at the Amp on Saturday, April 25th, 2026. Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday, October 17, at mercedesbenzamphitheater.com
The band blends genres and is built around deadpan delivery from lead vocalist John McCrea and prominent brass sounds courtesy of trumpeter and keyboardist Vince DiFiore.
The band is working on its first new album since 2010 and the ninth they've recorded together in the studio.
