Brierfield Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in Bibb County Monday
A Brierfield man died earlier this week in a two-vehicle accident in Bibb County outside Centreville, Alabama State Troopers said Wednesday morning.
Senior Trooper Vu Quang, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, said the wreck was reported a few minutes before 1:30 p.m. Monday.
Quang said 81-year-old Lee R. Johnson was driving a 2007 Toyota Camry when a 1996 Ford Explorer struck the car.
Johnson, a Brierfield man, was critically injured in the accident and pronounced dead at the Bibb Medical Center in Centreville.
The driver of the other vehicle, who was also from Brierfield, and his passenger, a Montevallo man, were both injured in the crash and hospitalized.
Quang said the crash happened on Alabama Highway 139 near Mile Marker 16, approximately 15 miles north of Centreville, in Bibb County.
No other information was available on Thursday.
