Betty Ann Lynn Parker Cosby, age 85, of Northport, Ala., passed away on July 26, 2022.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2022, at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery with her grandson, Joseph Morrison, officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Eula Lynn; husbands, Earnest Parker and Joe M. Cosby; daughter, Becky Parker; great-granddaughter Addison Harper Morrison; sister and brother-in-law, Lenora Dockery and Lewis Dockery; brothers, Eugene Lynn and Samuel Lynn; sister-in-law, Sue Lynn.

Survivors include her daughters, Vicky Morrison (Wade) and Dawn Edwards; son, Jeff Parker; sister-in-law, Frances Lynn; grandchildren, Mandy Ray (Chris), Joseph Morrison (Tina), Ethan Parker, Brittany Buss (Myles), Tristan Edwards, Conlan Edwards, Daliah Edwards, and Carlton Clayton; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Noah, and Maddie Klaire Ray, Bryant, Sadie Grace, and Abby Ruth Morrison; Matthew and Norah Buss.

Betty first and foremost loved our Lord Jesus Christ and read her Bible daily. She loved her family. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. Betty loved to cook, was known for her caramel cakes, taking care of her plants, and loved her church family. She had a passion to help people in need.

Betty taught all of us what it means to love one another, kindness, honesty, thoughtfulness, sharing and that’s just to name a few. Because of that her legacy lives on through us and future generations.

Pallbearers will be Wade Morrison, Chris Ray, Carlton Clayton, Peyton Ray, Noah Ray, Tristan Edwards, Conlan Edwards, and Myles Buss.

Jr. Pallbearers are Bryant Morrison, Ethan Parker, and Matthew Buss.

Honorary pallbearers are Unity Baptist Church members, Dr. David Call, Internal Medicine Associates of Tuscaloosa, Dr. Toby Gropen, UAB Neurovascular and Stroke Center, nurses and staff UAB Stroke and Surgery Unit, Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Encompass Rehab of Shelby County; Frances and Steven Rumsey and family, Larry and Louise Clayton, friends, neighbors, and management of Essex Square Apts., numerous nieces, nephews, and family.
