
Ben Edgar Yeager (January 15th, 1937 – January 10th, 2026)
Ben Edgar Yeager, 88 of Eutaw, passed away January 10, 2026, at home.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Union Christian Church in Union, Alabama, with Pastor Philip Lee and Pastor Ken Lee officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
Ben was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and wife of 59 years, Dorothy Henderson Yeager; parents, Edgar Williford Yeager and Julia Prisoc Yeager; and daughter-in-law, Doris Jane Yeager.
Survivors include his wife Edna Loraine Allen Yeager of Eutaw; daughter, Denise Vaughan (Tim) of Cottondale; sons, Mike Yeagerand Gene Yeager (Belinda) of Akron; grandchildren, Derek Yeager (Lauren), of Akron, Michelle Wilkerson (Henry) of Thomasville, Amanda Dore of Duncanville, Benjamin Vaughn of Cottondale, and Christopher Lott (Shannon) of Lebanon, Tennessee; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Ben was born on January 15, 1937, in Akron, Alabama. He graduated from Akron High School in 1955 and, shortly after, married and began his family. He was a devoted member of Union Christian Church. He was a steady source of wisdom and support.
He lived a life defined by hard work, doing things the right way, and putting family first. His guidance was always honest and given with love.
Pallbearers will be Derek Yeager, Benjamin Vaughan, Tim Vaughan, Kip Clark, Jack Herndon, and Tommy Upchurch. Honorary pallbearers are members of Union Christian Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Union Christian Church Cemetery Fund, care of Merchants and Farmers Bank in Eutaw, Alabama.
