Tuscaloosa Security Company Looks to Hire Hundreds for World Games in Birmingham
A security company in Tuscaloosa is looking to hire hundreds of short-term employees to work the 2022 World Games in Birmingham, which are scheduled to kick off next month.
Hundreds of thousands of athletes and spectators are expected to attend the competitions, which run from July 7th until July 17th.
The company, Andy Frain Services, is headquartered in Aurora, Illinois but has an office in Tuscaloosa's University Mall.
A representative for the company told the Tuscaloosa Thread that they have an immediate need to hire hundreds of event and security staff to work the Games.
Workers' compensation begins at $16 an hour, and anyone who is hired to work the Games will also be able to work other events for Andy Frain, including athletics events at the University of Alabama.

Applicants will need to provide their driver's license, social security number and bank information if they wish to be paid via direct deposit. Paper paychecks are also available but may take a few days longer to process.
Applicants will also be subject to a background check that a company representative called "minimal."
Some of the required uniform will be provided to new hires, although they will need to wear their own black pants and shoes.
