Math Teacher at Aliceville High Arrested for Child Pornography, Gets $1 Million Bond
A math teacher in West Alabama is in the Pickens County Jail on a million-dollar bond after he was allegedly caught with child pornography last week.
Jail records show 41-year-old Roderick Granger was arrested on Friday and charged with separate counts of possession, dissemination, and solicitation of child pornography, as well as an ethics violation and failure to report.

He was booked by the Aliceville Police Department, and his bond was set at $1 million.
Granger is listed on the staff section of Aliceville High School's website as a math teacher there.
Pickens County School administrators posted about his arrested Monday morning and said they are fully cooperating with law enforcement during this investigation.
"This matter is currently an active criminal investigation being handled by the appropriate agencies," Superintendent Shawn McDaniel said. "Because of the ongoing investigation and to protect the integrity of the legal process, the district is unable to provide additional details. We understand situations like this are concerning for our school community. We are committed to transparency while also respecting legal guidelines and the rights of all individuals involved."
A spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office told the Thread that sheriff's deputies here served a search warrant locally in connection with this case, but that no charges have been filed against Granger here.
