Alabama ONE Takes Home 2022 Credit Union of the Year Award

Friday, the League of Southern Credit Unions (LSCU) named Alabama ONE as the state's best credit union in 2022 among those who hold over $500 million in assets. 2022 marks the second time in the span of five years it's earned the honor (2018).

Awards are given out by the LSCU each year for the best credit unions across Alabama, Florida and Georgia.

The honor recognizes credit unions of the LSCU for their achievements within the community, day-to-day operations and overall "financial prowess."

301 credit unions across the three states represent over 11 million members in the LSCU, combining for over $177 billion in assets, according to the organization.

Alabama ONE was originally chartered in 1951, and has expanded to 18 branches. Combined with partners of the 23 current Alabama rural electric cooperatives, Alabama ONE serves over 78,000 members across 57 of the state's 67 counties.
