On Wednesday afternoon the University of Alabama baseball program received a commitment Caleb Barnett.

Barnett is a class of 2025 3rd baseman and right-handed pitcher out of William Penn Charter School outside of Philadelphia, Pa. He reports on his social media that he is moving to Alabama and will play at Mountain Brook High School for his sophomore year.

Barnett is a 6-foot-4 rising sophomore in high school. Prep Baseball Report ranks Barnett the No. 2 overall 3rd Baseman and the No. 1 right-handed pitcher in Pennsylvania in his class making him the No. 6 overall player in the class.

Perfect Game ranks Barnett as the No. 65 right-handed pitcher in the nation in his class and has him on its National High Follow List.

Barnett reported interest from several colleges including Ole Miss, Florida State, Virginia, Stanford, Tennessee and several others. He spent time visiting Tuscaloosa in January to showcase his skills for the Alabama coaching staff.

Crimson Tide fans looking to keep up with Barnett can see him in Birmingham at Mountain Brook High School as he continues to develop as a pitcher and a hitter.
